Originally from the Central Coast of California, Randy spent his life exploring  the beaches of California. Whether it was fishing, sailing, surfing or just adventuring, he was always hunting for natures treasures.

 

While living in Big Sur, he was introduced to jade hunting - as elusive (and frustrating) as gold mining.  He spent the next decade scouring the coast for this magical stone.

 

As a stay home father to two boys, a backyard lapidary shop began to take shape. 

 

And so evolved 'The Jade Shack'.
